#HAEWOO (Born in 2013)
Q. What made you start skating?
A. When I was seven, I saw a girl riding a longboard on her way to Taekwondo class in my neighborhood. I thought, “I want to try that too,” so I asked my parents to buy me one. The first weekend after getting the board, I went to a small park in the neighborhood with my dad and tried it out for the first time. It was so fun that ever since then, my mind has been filled with thoughts of skating.
Q. What are you most interested in these days?
A. Watching videos of myself skating. While I enjoy skating at board parks, going out to real street spots with older skaters, challenging ourselves, and cheering each other on is incredibly exciting.
Q. Who is your favorite skater?
A. Lee Chang Kyu, Oh Jae Sung, Gustavo Ribeiro, Toa Sasaki, and Nyjah Huston.
Q. What’s a trick you’d like to try in the future?
A. Increasing the success rate of my current practice trick, Kick Flip B/S Lip Slide on a rail. Also, Hard Flip, Kick Flip B/S Smith Grind on a handrail, and Kick Flip B/S Tail Slide.
